A few weeks ago me and 4 of my good friends from high school decided to take a day trip to Chicago because we all had a Friday off! It was such a fun day filled with laughter and delicious food! Here are a few of the best pictures from that day… because we all know I took hundreds.
Millenium Park
The Bean
I don’t even know what this was but I liked the colors on the fence!
The view of the river on our walk to Navy Pier was so pretty!

For lunch we stopped at a place called Harry Caray’s by Navy Pier. We loved that it had outdoor seating, and they had a few options for my one friend who is vegetarian
Our plan was then to walk to Willis Tower after Navy Pier… but we were already a little tired from walking all morning. So we decided to spend the $8 on a water taxi and get there that way. Afterwards we unanimously agreed it was the best $8 we spent all day because it was great to be able to not walk while also seeing the sites from the river!
And of course here are a few pictures of the great view from the tower!
Afterwards I tried to convince my friends to get Sprinkles… but it was pretty far out of the way. So we agreed to stop at Magnolia Bakery instead!
The inside is so cute and they had lots of delicious goodies to choose from!
I ended up with a cream cheese brownie, but two of my friends opted for the mini cheesecakes. We all walked away happy and full!
I also have a thing for photogenic signs, and I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of this one that is across the street from Magnolia!
We did a little shopping after the bakery and then ended up at Shake Shack to finish off our day. I wasn’t too hungry after eating quite a bit already that day, so I just got fries. I was disappointed I didn’t have room for a burger or shake, but the fries were delicious as always!
