For this Trendy Talks I am interviewing Marissa from Style Cusp! I am in love with her personal style and her blog layout is adorable as well. I am so inspired after I leave her blog, so I wanted to interview her and share her answers with you so you could be inspired as well!
1. How did your blog begin?
I started my
blog in college just as a creative outlet to post whatever I wanted. From
there, it evolved into a more fashion focused blog and I haven’t looked back!
2. Where does the name Style Cusp come from?
I’ve
changed my blog name two different times actually. When I first started, I didn’t
really think about the name. In the process of renaming it to Style Cusp, I
thought long and hard about what I wanted – and the second I heard the word
Cusp, it had the exact ring I was looking for!
3. How many hours/week do you spend blogging?
Oh my gosh,
lots! Really, the job never stops. The majority of my time is blog related. It
takes time to plan a post, style and shoot the outfit, edit the photos, and
then write the actual post. In addition to that, I’m on calls, heading to
meetings, and constantly emailing contacts for potential products. Then there’
the social media management and promotion, along with any events I attend.
4. I saw you are the oldest of 7 girls… has
that affected your love for fashion?
Actually, it hasn’t at all! My
sisters moreso look to me for the fashion since I’m the eldest and so immersed
in the industry.
5. What 3 words best describe your personal
style?
Simple and Chic with a trendy twist.
6. Where is your favorite place to shop?
I love
Nordstrom and Zara.
7. Top 3 favorite blogs to read?
Hmm that’s
a hard one! I love so many different blogs for different reasons. Current style
favorites though are Gal Meets Glam, Stephanie Sterjovski, and Love by Lynn.
8. Is there anything you want to accomplish this
summer?
I
want to read more and take more trips/day trips on the weekends!
9. If you could travel to any place in the world
right now, where would you go?
Europe – specifically Greece and Italy!
10.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Doing exactly what I’m doing now,
but on a larger scale. I also hope to be married and settled into a house! [ahem,
decorating! 😉 ]
