Happy 2016! Today I am sharing a my goals for this year. I am not making a list of resolutions because we all know that barely any are actually achieved. I do have my 101 in 1001 list to work on though, so don’t think I will not be getting things done and moving forward. I am joining in with Ashley for the #NewYearNewGirl linkup, so don’t forget to checkout all the other posts as well!
In past years I have heard of people setting 1 word for the year instead of resolutions, and this year I decided to take that idea and go with it. The word I picked for 2016 is devotion, which means love, loyalty, or enthusiasm for a person, activity, or cause. It is so easy to let things slip and not keep up with people or things, and it is also easy to not truly be present when you are with someone. Think of how often you are just on your phone when you are around friends. This year I want to be more intentional and devote time to the people and things I love, as well as to school and God. I will also work to be devoted to blogging and reading which are hobbies I enjoy but ones that can get pushed aside if I am not making a conscious effort. My main goal is just to be devoted and fully present with everything I do. I am ready to devote my time to things that matter and make me happy, and cut out the things that do not.
What are your goals for 2016? Do you have a word? Share in the comments!
