Since the fourth of July is right around the corner, I decided to share two quick and easy snack ideas that you can make for yourself or for any party! It is so easy to use fruit for any fourth of July related recipes because berries are in season and the colors are perfect for the fourth!
For the first recipe you will need a piece of scrapbook paper with a pretty pattern. I chose a red plaid! Then you want to cut it out like this so you can fold it into a cone. You can make it as big or small as you want!
Once you roll it into a cone, add a staple to make sure it holds. Then fill it with your favorite fruit! I chose blueberries since they fit well into it and the red and blue looked great together! You could also use cherries or raspberries.
Here is the final look! As you can see mine was on the smaller side. It is better to do this size if you are making a lot of them for a party of sharing them with friends!
The other snack I created was chocolate covered strawberries! I am going to be very honest here and say white chocolate would look cuter, but I prefer normal chocolate on my strawberries so I just went with that!
I chose to dip mine in chocolate then add blue sprinkles. Lastly I added a drizzle of red colored white chocolate to make it a little prettier! Make sure you buy chocolate that is meant to melt, otherwise you could end up with a frustrating glob of half melted, hard chocolate. All I did was take my melting chocolate and pop it in the microwave for a few seconds. About every 10 seconds I took it out and stirred it until it was fully melted. Don’t forget to place your dipped strawberries on wax paper until they drive or else it will stick to your plate!
What snacks are you making for the fourth of July? Share in the comments!
