This quote might look familiar to some of you. That is because I shared it in last week’s Monday Mash-up! Over that weekend I had just written my Monday Mash-up and I included this quote in it. I found it really inspiring and it made me want to go out and live!
A few hours after I read that post I was flying through a book I had just started the night before, called The Beginning of Everything. It didn’t really click that the book was basically about the same thing until the very last page, where the author weaved this quote in.
This is one of the reasons why I make “bucket lists” and lists such as my 101 in 1001 list. They inspire me to try new things, travel to new places, and enjoy life more. I want to challenge you guys to try to live instead of just existing!
I actually tweeted asking for book recommendations because I knew I would have a little time to read that weekend. I didn’t end up getting any that I was in the mood to read, so I just browsed on the library website where I can borrow books for my kindle. I found this one, and I was able to borrow it immediately without waiting, so I did! And I read about 1/4 of it that night and then finished the rest on Saturday morning. It was definitely a book I would recommend, and it left me inspired and wanting to read more! I found it really similar to a John Green book, which is a good thing to me because I read and loved all of his books. This is one I would add to your to-read list if you haven’t already!
Do you try to live instead of just existing? How do you do that? Have you read this book? Share in the comments!
