“How in the world is it only Tuesday?!” We are all guilty of saying it at some point… some of us more than others. And honestly, some weeks it does feel like it is impossible to make it to Friday. But that is when you are looking at it through a negative perspective.
Instead, think of the great things that are happening today or tomorrow. Don’t focus on the fact that you are three days away from the weekend.Try to think of the good things you have in every day. For me, I know that tomorrow night I have Bible study and Thursday we have shorter class periods so I look forward to those. I also know that I am going shopping with a friend to buy stuff for a local charity after school at some point this week, so I am looking forward to that. Sure, I will have homework to do tonight, but I will get through it and have fun doing blog work tonight too!
Why do we always look forward to the weekend and just wish every week away. Mondays can actually be good if you wake up on the right side of the bed! Why not make the most of everyday? I understand that the workload can be heavy some days and some days just are not good. But try to plan a midweek coffee date with a friend. Plan to go shopping or do something fun. Treat yourself by painting your nails halfway through the week. If you want to do something fun and help other people, consider volunteering somewhere during the week!
Lastly, I will leave you with this quote I recently found on social media by an English teacher named Drew Marvin:
“You have to be the kind of person who can make the best out of a Tuesday. You know those people who live for the weekends? They’re wishing their life away. You have to find something worth living for or else you will look back and realize you’ve wasted your life away.“
Do you try to make the most of every day? How are you planning to make the most of this week? Share in the comments!
