Charity #1: Reece’s Rainbow

Reece’s Rainbow is an organization that I somehow stumbled across a few years ago, and something about it just broke my heart.

“The mission of Reece’s
Rainbow is to advocate and find families for orphans with Down syndrome
and other special needs by raising funds for adoption grants and
promoting awareness through an online community, media communications,
and other events.”
I have spent many hours on that website going through and praying for all the kids on there. It is a great thing, and right now they actually have one of their biggest fundraisers going on! Angel Tree is something that they have around Christmas every year. During Angel Tree, people pick a child to sponsor and the goal is to raise $1,000 for each child during that time. Many people are willing to go through the process to adopt these precious babies, but many of them don’t have the money to afford it. So people who can’t adopt give money to help those who can. Pretty cool, right?
For more information and to see ways you can help, just go to their website and spend a little time looking around. Before you go, I want to leave you with a few children on the Angel Tree who have captured my heart recently!
