Books I’ve Read: July

Today I wanted to share a few books I read and enjoyed recently. This might become a monthly thing, but I haven’t decided yet! Over the month of July I read a few good books, but I didn’t want to make a separate post about every single one. So here is the collective post!

 Going Vintage

The first book I am going to talk about today is Going Vintage, by Lindsey Leavitt. I hadn’t heard anything about this book, but I found it in my library and though it looked intriguing. I am really glad I read it, and honestly if I didn’t blog and have to use technology for school, I would try to “go vintage” for a while like Mallory did because it seems like a good challenge! Plus another reason I liked this book is because at some point ( I can’t give too much away) they mention blogging so that’s an added bonus! Definitely recommend it!

Burned (Pretty Little Liars, #12)

Then for the Fourth of July I went to Tennessee and I read this entire book just on the car ride there. Once I get into a book I can read it really quickly and I really don’t want to put it down, and Pretty Little Liars books definitely do this to me! I began reading them probably 5 years ago? Not completely sure, but it was a while back, long before the show came out and when only the first 4 or so books were out. Ever since then I have loved anything PLL! Definitely check the books and the show out if you haven’t!

L.A. Candy (L.A. Candy, #1)

Then while in Tennessee and on the way back, I read L.A. Candy. I have heard about this book for a while… but for some reason I just hadn’t checked it out. (I normally just checkout books or check them out on my Kindle so I don’t have to buy and store a bunch of books. Plus it’s so easy to travel with 5 books on my Kindle instead of 5 books in a bag taking up space!) L.A. + Drama + Written by Lauren Conrad= Fabulous book!

The Fame Game (Fame Game, #1)

This is another trilogy by Lauren Conrad. I couldn’t get the next book in the L.A. Candy trilogy, so I decided to pick this one up instead. It is a spinoff of L.A. Candy with some of the same characters, but I think I actually like The Fame Game better!

Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead

Currently I am reading this because I have heard so many good things about it from other bloggers. So far, it is pretty good, and it has inspired me! If you need motivation to progress, pick this up!

What books have you read recently? Anything good I should checkout? Tell me in the comments!
