Hi Everyone!
For those of you who don’t know who I am, my name is Grace and I am the blogger behind Preppy On The West Coast!
I could not be more excited and grateful to guest post for Scarlett!
This post is going to be all about three nail trends for this fall that I am loving and feel as though are the most practical! I don’t usually go all out with the trends, but I’m kind of liking some of the ones spotted on this season’s runway and might just have to try them out!
Twists on Black

I have always shied away from black nail polish because I feel as though it is a little too intense for my liking, but I really like how they did a hint of black (“half moon”) and then the rest of the nail in a different, more subtle polish. You could also do it vice versa to make the black not so stark, and have a little bit of color peeking through! Oscar de la Renta executed this perfectly.
Metallic

I love metallic nail polishes, especially around Christmas/New Years and am so excited to break them out even earlier! I think metallic nail polish adds a little bit more dimension to an outfit and could really make a simple outfit make a statement pop, with just the presence of a metallic nail polish! Michelle Saunders, an Essie manicurist found the perfect nail polish for the Costello Tagliapietra show!
Oxblood

Oxblood became a hit last fall for clothes, but this fall it is for nails! I think this shade would be perfect for those who are still a little timid in regard to black nails – it is still a fitting polish for these chillier months, but has a little bit more color. At the Naeem Kahn show, the manicurists mixed two essie polishes, Licorice and Bordeaux to make it a deeper, more black based red color!
Will you be rocking any of these nail trends this fall?
…and once again I would just like to thank Scarlett for letting me guest post!!
xo,
Grace
