Some of you might have noticed I blogged every single day over July, which is not something I usually do. My goal is to post 5 days each week, but if you have followed along then you know sometimes that doesn’t happen. But when I created my 101 in 1001 list, I put down that I wanted to blog every day for a month straight. Now bloggers, you know this takes a lot of time. I will always admire bloggers who can post quality content on a daily basis.

Anyways, when I began the month, I didn’t set out to blog every day, which was why I never made an announcement or anything about it. But I wanted to post on the weekend the very first weekend, and after that week-long streak, I decided I should just continue. Today I wanted to share a few things I learned from blogging every single day for an entire month:
-I usually don’t post on the weekends, so I really enjoyed taking advantage of those two days by posting more personal posts/ posts about what is going on in my mind or life currently. I always want to be real and honest on my blog, but sometimes in the fashion blogging world it is easy to come across as just the same as everyone else.
-There needs to be more than 24 hours in each day. Honestly, there were many days I stayed up late writing a post for the next day because I realized I had nothing scheduled. I always try to schedule my blog posts ahead of time, so this was an eye-opening experience to me.
-Quality truly is better than quantity. Of course, I still believe posting consistently is important and if you take a 3 month hiatus your readers will not trust you as much when you return. But honestly if you only post 1 or 2 blog posts each week, but make them great ones, that is honestly better. No one likes wasting time and reading fluff.
Overall I did enjoy the challenge of coming up with interesting content every day, but I am feeling a bit burned out after everything I have done this month. It was definitely a crazy month but I am sad to see it come to an end. I am not planning on posting every day in August too, so I wanted to let you in on what I am doing in the future.
From now on, I am planning on posting at least 3 days each week. The ultimate goal is 5 day a week, but since I am moving to college in a month, I know that probably won’t be likely when I am adjusting to a whole new life. And my to do list of things to accomplish before I leave for college has a million and one things on it. Only a slight exaggeration I swear 😉
Also, if you have any post requests please leave them in the comments!
