{Trendy Talks} Emma from Seeking the South

Today I am interviewing Emma from Seeking the South! She posts so many helpful posts on her blog, so I highly recommend checking it out!

1. Why did you begin blogging?

I started blogging because I was about to go off to college and I knew I wanted to document and share my experiences somehow. I also wanted to show off my dorm room of course. The easiest way to do this was to create a blog of course!

2. Where does the name Seeking the South come from?
I’d
always wanted to live down south (I’m from Kansas). I don’t know what
it was about the south, but it always just appealed to me. Maybe it was
the culture, weather or even the accents, but I loved it all.

3. What has been your favorite post you have written?

My favorite post would probably have to be my post
I wrote about why TCU is the best school ever. If you know me, or even
just know me from social media, you’ll know I’m absolutely obsessed with
my school and I just had to share with the world why!

4. Where do you hope to see your blog in 1 year?In
one year, I hope to gain some pretty constant followers and maybe a few
sponsorships. I want it to continue to grow, but I never want it to
lose the personal feeling it started with. I don’t know if I’ll ever
turn into one of those professional bloggers, but I just have fun with
it and that’s how I like it.

5. How would you describe your style?

I’d
describe my style somewhere between preppy and trendy. In high school, I
tried to be way too preppy, and I totally looked like an idiot- but at
my school that was the cool thing. Now I kind of just wear what I think
looks good on me, which always happens to be J.Crew or Target! I try not
to let others’ opinions dictate my style, but I do love the inspiration
I get from pinterest!

6. What is your all-time favorite nail polish?I
absolutely love Essie’s Tart Deco. It’s an adorable coral color (my
favorite, if you can’t tell from my blog), perfect for spring or summer!

7. If you had $10,000, what would you spend it on?
This
is so hard. I’d probably spend a little of it on clothes, donate some,
and use the rest for college expenses like textbooks and food!

8. What is your favorite Scripture?
My
favorite verse always has been and always will be Jeremiah 29:11 “For I
know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper
you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

9. If you could travel to any place in the world where would it be?
My
favorite place in the entire world is Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but
because I’ve been there a few times I’d love to try something new. I’ve
always wanted to visit Greece ever since seeing
The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, so that would have to be my answer.

10. How can we stay up to date with you and your blog?
