Today I am interviewing Lindsay from Sugar and Something. I actually just recently found Lindsay and her blog through Instagram (I think?) but I immediately loved her posts!
1. Why did you begin blogging?
ago I ran across Cupcakes and Cashmere. I started reading Emily’s posts
every single day (and still do). It inspired me to create an outlet for
myself. I love to write, craft, cook, overdress. I wanted to share
these aspects of my life with more than just my best friends, so Sugar
and Something seemed like the perfect place to start.
2. Where does the name Sugar and Something come from?
4 summers ago my best friend and I lived together and baked everyday.
That is no exaggeration. You can’t imagine the amount of sugar we went
through that summer. It was also the summer I created my blog and as a
result the start of my blogging was centered around baking sweets. Sugar
& Something described my baking style perfectly. Now Sugar and
Something has evolved into not just baking by ‘something’ else. I love
going back to my sugary roots on occasion but it has allowed me to
venture to all times of posts.
3. If you could have a $1,000 shopping trip to any store, which would you choose?
I have a love affair with TJMaxx.
4. What is your favorite winter fashion trend?
Vests and layering. I have a collection of vests that could last me for weeks without ever outfit repeating.
5. What is your all time favorite nail polish color?
Wicked by Essie- I’ve gone through bottles of it.
6. What is the number 1 thing on your Christmas list?
A Leopard Print Clare V foldover clutch. It is a must have in my book.
7. If you could travel to any place in the world, where would you choose?
Do I have to narrow it to one? Greece- I don’t think I’ve ever seen a picture of greece that was anything short of beautiful.
8. What is one thing you want to accomplish before 2015?
Become a more active member in the blogging community. I’d like to think I am on my way to already accomplishing that. 🙂
Thanks so much for Lindsay for answering these questions! I completely agree about having a love affair with TJ Maxx… I swear that place sells everything and at the perfect price!
