Hey guys! This week I am interviewing a fellow teen blogger named Sammy! Sammy is so sweet and I am so glad she agreed to do this interview!
1. How did you come up with the name Preptista?
The
name “Preptista” was a word I made up on a whim one day. It puts
together the words “prepster” and “fashionista,” which I felt perfectly
encompass who I am. I added it to my list of possible blog names, and
when it came time to finally pick one, luckily it wasn’t taken yet!
2. How many hours each week do you spend blogging?
It really depends from week to week. It can be anywhere from 2-5, but it normally does not exceed 5!
3.
What is your favorite blog post you have written?
I think my favorite
blog post was my giveaway with The Monogrammed Home! It was so much fun
collaborating with them and I think all my readers really enjoyed it as
well! Hopefully there will be more giveaways in the future!
4.
Where is your favorite place to shop?
That is such a tough question. I
don’t think I really have a go-to store because I rely on different
places for different types of items, but my “staple stores” are Kate
Spade, J.Crew, Vineyard Vines, Lilly Pulitzer, and C.Wonder.
5. What are your top blogs that you must read every day?
I live for The College Prepster! It’s my daily “must-read.”
6.
Do you have a favorite quote?
I have a lot of favorite quotes (I’m the
typical Pinterest addict), but one that really stands out to me is
“Don’t Compare your Chapter 1 to someone else’s Chapter 20.” I’m
terrible about comparing myself to others, so thinking of this is always
the perfect reminder to refresh my perspective!
7. I
see you like baked goods too… what is your all time favorite baked
good?
I am obsessed with donuts – donuts of every variety!
8.
What do you want to accomplish before 2015?
I think I would die if I
got to 5,000 Instagram followers by the end of the year! I think it’s
definitely possible, so we’ll see!
9. If you could
travel to any place in the world right now, where would you go?
No
matter what time of year it is, I want to go to Paris! I’ve never been,
but I imagine that it’s even more fabulous than any of the dreams I have
had about it!
10. If you could play every instrument in
the world or be fluent in every language in the world, which would you
choose?
I would want to be fluent in every language. Conversation and
communication is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful things. I’m
always really fascinated by hearing people speak in different languages
as well. My dad is fluent in five languages – English, Spanish, French,
German, and Italian – and I’m only a little bit (ok, a lot bit)
jealous!
