I am going into my senior year this year, so between applying to colleges, school, extracurriculars, and my social life, my life is going to be really full! In past years my blog has gone quiet in the first few months of fall because I didn’t have a good schedule and plan ahead. This year I am hoping to keep posting at least 3x a week and keep up with all my social media!
In order to do all this, I have created a weekly to-do list for myself that I wanted to share in case any other bloggers are having a similar dilemma. Do keep in mind that every blogger is different. For example, the only social media platforms I have to keep up at Pinterest, Instagram, and Twitter. I know other bloggers might have Facebook, Tumblr, etc, so just add those in wherever you see fit if they apply to you!
Also, I want to mention that I didn’t include writing posts in here because I honestly do that whenever I have extra time and every week it varies. Some weeks I will write all my posts in one evening, others I will write one every night because I just have enough time to do one.
Sunday:
-schedule all posts for the following week
– schedule tweets for all new posts for the following week
– schedule tweets that promote relevant older posts
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– reply to emails
Monday:
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– read and comment on 10 blogs
– pin for 10 minutes
– reply to emails
Tuesday:
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– pin my own images from recent posts
– engage on Twitter- 10 minutes
– engage on Instagram- 10 minutes
– reply to emails
Wednesday:
-post 1 picture to Instagram
– read and comment on 10 blogs
– pin for 10 minutes
– reply to comments
– reply to emails
Thursday:
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– pin my own recent content
– engage on Twitter- 10 minutes
– engage on Instragram- 10 minutes
– reply to emails
Friday:
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– read and comment on 10 blogs
– pin for 10 minutes
– reply to emails
– read 2 new blogging articles
Saturday:
– post 1 picture to Instagram
– engage on Twitter- 5 minutes
– engage on Instagram- 15 minutes
– update editorial calendar for upcoming weeks
– record previous week’s stats
– reply to emails
– reply to comments
– contact/ pitch ideas to new people I want to work with
Also keep in mind that if I do have more time I will spend a little more time commenting on blogs one day or tweeting on another. This is just the bare minimum of what I would like to get done each day. If I don’t get something done, I will move it to the next days to do list if it is important, or if it is something like engaging for a certain amount on time on social media I will just skip it since it isn’t crucial.
