How To Be Memorable

via

At one point in our lives, we all want to be memorable. You want someone to notice you and the effort you are putting in. Sometimes it can be extremely difficult to get noticed, so today I wanted to  put together a short list of things you can do to become more memorable.

-go the extra mile-

There is one quote that is going around Pinterest that says: “Go the extra mile, it is never crowded.” That is so true! There are so many ways to go the extra mile, from cleaning something for someone to buying someone a cup of coffee. Just keep your eyes open and you will be surprised how many opportunities there are to show people you care.

-personalize messages-

This one is particularly important if you are trying to get noticed by someone you are emailing. For me, I email companies and bloggers all the time, so it can be really tempting to send out a canned email to 50 people in a row. Always add in their name at the beginning, if you can find it. For me, it isn’t hard to find my name on my blog or social media, so if a company emails me saying “Dear Blogger…” I usually just delete it.

-leave meaningful comments-

If you are trying to get the attention of a blogger or someone else on a public platform, leave nice comments! I have developed so many relationships with people who reply/favorite my tweets or leave sweet comments on my blog!

-send a thank you-

If someone does something for you are takes the time to meet with you, send them a thank you note. It doesn’t take long, but it can put your name back into their mind. Bonus points if you actually send it via snail mail and not just by email.

Just remember:

Minimal effort= minimal results.

Put in the work, and I promise it will begin to show.

What steps do you take to ensure people remember you? Share in the comments!
